Financing Services

Urgent Care start-ups require a lot of money – anywhere from $400,000 to $1 million to do the build-out, buy equipment, and ramp-up to a break-even point. If you decide to borrow some of this money then you need to know what banks want, what their process is, and how to encourage them to lend you the money you need to reach your goals.

The number one reason urgent care centers fail is not having enough working capital to carry the center through the ramp-up phase into profitability. A realistic business outline with financial projections is essential to understanding your funding needs and securing financing.

Now you can get Bank Financing for your Urgent Care start-up more easily with InterMed’s help.

We enjoy strong relationships with several banks who offer urgent care financing.  We understand what they are looking for.

If you are a physician or an entrepreneur seeking funding, InterMed can put together a low-cost, easy to read business outline containing 3 year financial projections that will be well-received by the banks, increasing the chance of a speedy loan approval for amounts up to $500,000 or more for build-out, equipment, and working capital.

In addition to providing guidance to you and developing the business outline, InterMed will personally introduce you to the lending officer and work with you and the lender to conclude the deal.

Depending on the size of the project, our fees range from $4,000 – $6,000 from start to finish. If we are unable to help secure acceptable financing then that is the only cost to you. If we are successful in our efforts to secure funding we charge a success fee of 1% of the loan amount payable when the loan is approved and a commitment letter is provided by the lender.

As part of this project InterMed will:

  • Provide a detailed market study suitable for your own research and also for the bank’s information
  • Work hand-in-hand with you to determine the best courses of action for your start-up urgent care center
  • Provide expert guidance as to the different elements of developing a successful urgent care center
  • Employ a proprietary, customized for your project spreadsheet that details projections for 3 full years including, a loan amortization schedule, facility costs, a staffing model, hours of operation, expenses, patient load, pro-forma profit and loss (income) statement, capital costs and expected cash flow.
  • Produce a narrative outline of your project
  • Provide editable WORD and EXCEL files for your use
  • Provide a PDF presentation for electronic submission to the bank
  • Provide a printed binder to hand out to lenders and other interested parties
  • Make a personal introduction to several relevant banks that provide SBA financing, healthcare financing, or both
  • Continue to update projections and make adjustments as long as necessary to receive an approval or denial for the loan.
  • Intervene with the lender as necessary to facilitate the approval process.
